I have come to learn a spirit simply "is", and always shall be. I also know it has a power to transcend our wildest dreams. The true Legacy of someone as special as Austin clearly was, is a spirit that moves. In the the simple shifts of wind, that spirit shall continue shifting along all who it encounters. For me, I was not intented to know Austin in life, but the pathways were made, or in the making for sometime. I know his spirit though, and have found a heap of GRACE in knowing him. Sincerely, Colby Kluthe, founder Daniel McCree Foundation Still missing you, more as each day goes by.... if that's possible.. Thomas and I will never be the same without you... I hope and pray we will both be with you again some day.. Each day is harder than the next without you.. I miss your smile, I miss your hugs, I miss your "I love you too, mom..", I miss your sense of humor, miss making fun of your dad, miss picking you up with Shane for the weekend, miss you sitting in your chair at the computer, miss Thomas saying, "I can't wait to show this to Austin!!", miss the smell of your hair, miss the way you would tease Thomas and NEVER let him use your computer, miss you talking about the "Oompa Loompas", miss the way we laughed a couple years ago when I gave you the G.I. Joe for Christmas, Miss the way you let Abbey lick you all over the face without making her get down, miss the way you always hugged grandma... Miss your flip flops in the winter, miss your cute sense of style.. Mr. Abercrombie n Hollister, lol.. miss EVERY THING ABOUT YOU and the fact that we will never have another holiday or birthday together.. Always remember I love you... mom.. And know that Thomas loved you, you were his hero and I hope the two of you will one day be together again..

Russel Mueller (18) Date: May 05, 2010 Suicide By: Ingestion of Multiple Household Chemicals Location: Belleville, IL URL: go to their myspace
Police say an 18-year old man found dead in a parking lot at Southwestern Illinois University died from "chemical suicide" or "detergent suicide." Russel A. Mueller reportedly ingested a mixture of cleaning products. Emergency Responders say they are seeing an increase in this type of suicide among young adults. €MUSIC This is a long story, but a few people, Wendy, Shane, Mindy, Stayceeeeeeee, and myself can give you a little background if you need.... Long story short, a while back, Madyson, Shane's niece said she had seen Austin playing behind this rock pile with *butterflies*. This was after his death. Strangely enough, a few of us have had these little butterfly *encounters* since then... A few weeks ago, I had a butterfly at my house, that I could see on my back deck, outside of Austin's bedroom window. This little butterfly was the exact same kind that was sitting on my hand in the picture. The one on my deck would NOT leave, even with crusty, my rambunctious pug, running all over the place. It just sat on the step of the deck, opening and folding it's wings for many hours... I even went and took a shower, expecting it to be gone but no.... it was still there... so.. So being the grieving, somewhat insane mother I am, I start taking this as a sign from Austin... and start actually talking to this butterfly every time it comes around, like it is indeed Austin's spirit, visiting me... *I hope the neighbors aren't hearing these conversations, lol* I continued having *encounters* with this same or same *type* of butterfly on a regular basis in my backyard and my front, in the morning, evenings, etc... So I'm at Thomas' dad's house and lo and behold, Thomas and I are leaving for school in the morning and here sits this same *type* butterfly right where we're walking... So I put my hand next to it and it crawls onto my hand, which I wasn't expecting, then proceeds to let me take it in the house, take pictures of it, etc... until I finally have to put it down because we're at this point running late for school... I know it sounds crazy but I think these are special visits.... I've never had anything so strange happen before.. just thought I'd share.... A pic I found in Autie's cell phone.. recent and probably taken by Shane? My little friend who has been coming to visit... God Bless you Russel. Life is so tough, but in the end we are rewarded with Heaven. Now you can smile and laugh pain free.
Rest in peace, young man.
May God Bless and Keep you Austin. We only got to know briefly but you made a lasting impression in our hearts. Our prayers are with your family and friends. God has another Angel now...Love You.
Austin, you were the greatest cousin ever, a smart, funny, and lovable person. I know that you are happier now, and that gives me peace. We will always love you. :) We'll always carry you with us Austin.
